Berton Builders and Design Co. is the culmination of years of experience in every aspect of the building industry. From the preparation of feasibility studies, project design, construction budget, project scheduling, sourcing of materials & subcontractors, project administration, supervision, construction city inspections management and client/ builder interactions during the ongoing projects. We have helped our clients bring their dreams into reality.
With over one hundred remodels, additions and new custom home projects completed, we look forward to continue serving the Coronado, La Jolla and San Diego community with the same enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication we have learned from all of our customers, no matter how demanding they may be. There is no better feeling for a builder than to be a part of a life changing moment, especially when we deliver the final product to our clients and their families. Ruben P. Berton
Ruben is a home builder with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He attended the Economic School at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In 1977 he cofounded his first construction company, COASA Inc. Introducing steel metal frames for the construction of residential homes in México City. In 1981 the operation moved to Houston Texas, and he opened Tremack Inc. to continue the steel frame system and fabrication, sale and installation of concrete pavers. In 1985 he expanded the business to California, where he established his office in Los Angeles. In 1992 he stablished Pro-Casa Inc. for the construction of residential homes in Tijuana, Mexico, utilizing light gage steel frames for both residential and commercial projects with large applications in shopping centers, office buildings and cinemas.
In 2000 he moved to Coronado, California and founded what is now Berton Builders and Design Co. (previously Hacienda General Contracting). Berton Builders, his flagship, was established to continue his service in the Southern California market of residential home building as well as commercial and hospitality based projects.
